Prayer Partner Letter
spacerspacerDear Prayer Partner:
As I pen this letter for the up coming issue of THE PRAYER LIFE , I do
so with full realization that many of you have prayed and God has
answered your prayers for me. Once more I feel His hand of strength
upon me. With this renewed strength I shall serve Him better but with
some Infirmities, in which I take pleasure knowing that Christ's
strength is made perfect in my weakness. ( Watch for excerpts from a
recent message I preached from 2 Corinthians 12:10)

I have tried to be faithful to your e-mail prayer request. Please
continue to send me your request as we pray for one another.
During past weeks when my pen has been dry and thoughts for preaching
seem to evade my heart, I have learned anew the necessity of waiting on
the Lord. (Ps. 27:14) Giving myself to a steady diet of reading the
Psalms I have indeed found a precious hiding place. For in time of
trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion in the secret of His tabernacle
shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock." (Ps 27:5)
Today I stand upon that rock and rejoice in the fulfilled promise of
Psalm 31:21. "Thou shall hide them in the secret of Thy presence from
the pride of man: Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the
strife of tongues."
Thinking back on some difficult weeks, I now speak with assurance the
words of Psalm 23. With a new understanding and abiding peace I now
know that Satan did indeed "buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure."
As did the Psalmist I felt 'forsaken': "For I said in my haste, I am
cut off from before Thine eyes; nevertheless Thou hearest the voice of
my
supplications when I cried unto Thee." <
Sincerely in the closet,
W. Clyde Martin
